Community strength through a unified Nepalese voice

Nepalese community has, in the last few decades, emerged to be one of the fastest growing communities in Australia. The Nepalese community is diverse and community organisations in every State/Territory have played a significant role in helping the community grow and mature.

The concept of the Federation of the community organisations was born to unite and streamline efforts of all the Nepalese community organisations across Australia and to take a unified voice to the Federal Government of Australia.

This ensued serious discussion amongst the Nepalese community leaders for several years leading to the endorsement of the federation concept from the Nepalese community organisation meeting held in Sydney in April 2016, with subsequent formation of a core taskforce team comprising of five members. Following several consultative meetings with community organisations across Australia by the taskforce team, the concept of Federation of Nepalese Communities Associations of Australia (FeNCAA) was re-endorsed and its registration has now become a reality.

FeNCAA has enormous opportunities and challenges ahead to institutionalise and take the organisation to the next level, aspires to play a meaningful role to voice concerns of the Nepalese communities and contribute to Government policies/programs and to fulfil the community’s aspirations and expectations.

FeNCAA is a history in making and reflects the unification of purpose and desire for  the Nepalese communities through unified voices and shared values in building and contributing to community harmony and multiculturalism in Australia.

FeNCAA would like to thank all the taskforce team members, community organisations, Nepalese embassy and consulate offices for providing constant feedback, support and encouragement from the inception to establishment of FeNCAA.
